On Sunday, 381 new coronavirus cases were recorded across Australia, while the Victorian state alone held 363 of those cases. While the numbers do seem to be decreasing after its record number of daily cases on Saturday, Victorian premier Daniel Andrews announced that masks will be mandatory from Thursday onwards.
New South Wales in particular will be on high alert and enforcing even more difficult border protocols for citizens looking to cross the state border from Victoria.
Travel will only be allowed for work, education or for medical care, supplies or health services.
In global Covid 19 news, more cases across the world are beginning to show a giant curve in the US, Brazil, and now, Africa. With that, the death toll has surged beyond 600,000 worldwide.
