After a large spike in cases over the weekend, Victoria has gone back to certain restrictions for fear of a 2nd wave of Covid-19 within the state.
Residents have now been urged to avoid 6 major local government areas outside of Melbourne, as the numbers there are considered to be virus hotspots.
Still, Deputy Chief Medical Adviser, Dr. Nick Coatsworth has urged that these numbers still “remain modest in comparison to the 6.4 million total population of Victoria but that any increase of this sort is still a source of concern.
There is still no evidence linking these new cases to the Black Lives Matter march, or any other protest at this point.
Regardless of the spike, ACT still seems to be moving forward with easing restrictions.
