Over the weekend, Australian authorities recorded a further decrease in the Covid-19 cases for Victoria – however, they also reported an increase in reported cases in New South Wales.
As warmer weather has invited more and more northern residents to enjoy the beach and sunshine, state authorities are prepping for more coronavirus cases.
Even as Victoria shows positive trends, premier Daniel Andrews has warned Victorians to expect Stage 4 restrictions to continue through these September holidays.
In a recent press conference, Mr Andrews has said: “I think that we will jealously guard the low numbers in regional Victoria, and I think every regional Victorian would want us to do that.”
The New South Wales premier has said that while the state will not mandate mask wearing at the moment, she is highly recommending that residents continue to adopt mask wearing whenever and wherever they go out of their homes.
