This weekend, Premier Daniel Andrews declared Victoria a state of disaster, due to the ongoing number of reported Covid 19 cases during this second wave of the coronavirus.
An Army of 14,000 nurses and doctors have been called to relieve the 529 healthcare workers who have caught the Covid 19 coronavirus in Victoria.
On Sunday, 381 new coronavirus cases were recorded across Australia, while the Victorian state alone held 363 of those cases. While the numbers do seem to be decreasing after its record number of daily cases on Saturday, Victorian premier Daniel Andrews announced that masks will be mandatory from Thursday onwards.
The Australian Defence Force was deployed this weekend to the South Australia / Victorian border to help barricade roads as part of the renewed coronavirus restrictions.
